Aransas Pass - Valdemar “Valde” Gomez Alvarado passed away on August 12, 2018. He was 58.
Valde was born on April 12, 1960 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Apolinar and Eva (Gomez) Alvarado. He was a former welder and lifelong resident of Aransas Pass, Texas.
Valde is preceded in death by his father, Apolinar Alvarado.
Survivors include his sons: Joseph Alvarado of Rockport, Texas and Johnny Joe Alvarado (Laura) of San Antonio, Texas; daughters: Christy Garcia (Thomas) of Lake Jackson, Texas and Jessica Longoria (David Bentancur) of Sweeney, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother: Eva Alvarado of Aransas Pass, Texas; brother: Apolinar “J.B.” Alvarado (Raela J. “R.J.”) of Portland, Texas; sisters: Guadalupe Alvarado of W. Virginia and Consuelo “Connie” Campos (Rudy) of Aransas Pass, Texas; and former spouse of 30 years: Margie Reyes of Rockport, Texas.
A rosary will be recited Monday, August 20, 2018, 9:30 M at St. Mary Star of the Sea in Aransas Pass, Texas. A Memorial Mass will follow, 10:00 AM at the church with Father James Vasquez as celebrant.
Burial will be private.
