Taft – Zulema Aleman Aparicio passed away June 13, 2018 at her residence in Taft with her loving family at her side. She was 93.
Zulema was born in Roby, Texas on February 18, 1925 to Antonia (Guajardo) and Manuel Aleman. Zulema was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. She was a homemaker and a dedicated Guadalupana of Immaculate Conception Church. Zulema was a beloved Mother and Grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Zulema is preceded in death by her husband: Jesus Aparicio; a granddaughter: Sylvia Aparicio; her parents: Manuel and Antonia Aleman; and 16 siblings.
Survivors include her daughters: Alma Moreno (Rey) of Taft, Texas and Odelia Sifuentes (Johnny) of Grand Prairie, Texas; sons: Adolfo Aleman Aparicio (Crystal) of Taft, Texas and Arnold Aparicio of Corpus Christi, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Sunday, June 17, 2018, 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 18, 2018, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Moreno, Nathan Hinojosa, Lucas Sifuentes, Derin Mendez, Adolfo Aparicio, Jr. and Stevan Aparicio.
