Aida Serrano Lopez

Sinton – Aida Serrano Lopez passed away September 28, 2021. She was 67.

Aida was born on January 29, 1954 in Sinton, Texas to Anita (Moreno) and Felipe Serrano. She was a resident of Sinton most of her life. Aida lived in Austin while going to college. She and her husband, Robert, owned and operated Robert’s Drive  Inn in Sinton for many years. Together, they became familiar faces to the customers they serviced. Aida was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Preceding in death are her parents: Felipe and Anita Serrano; brothers: Andrew Serrano and Guadalupe Garza; and sister: Mida DeLeon.

Survivors include her loving husband: Roberto M. Lopez; a son: Robert Lopez, Jr., both from Sinton, Texas; a daughter: Rachel Hinderliter (Cody) from Sterling City, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Molli Latham (Tanner) and Cooper Hinderliter (Savannah); 3 great-grandchildren: Carter, Kutter and Laekyn; brothers: Felipe Serrano, Jr., Ismael Serrano and Candelario Serrano, all from Sinton, Texas; Gabriel Serrano from Van Vleck, Texas and Pete Garza from Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Irma Rodriguez, Patricia Serrano and Isabella Mayeux, all from Sinton, Texas; Dora Ramirez from Tynan, Texas; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
