Aida "Ida" Pena

Aransas Pass – Aida Pena passed away August 3, 2022. She was 80.  Ida was born on October 27, 1941 in Sinton to Catarina (Sanchez) and Gamaliel Luna. She lived and grew up in Sinton but recently resided in Aransas Pass.  Ida was a homemaker as she raised and cared for her husband and children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Bartolo G. Pena, Jr.; parents: Gamaliel and Catarina Luna.

She is survived by her son: Roland Pena (Hope) from Aransas Pass, Texas; daughter: Cynthia Gomez (Bobby) from Corpus Christi, Texas; brother: Fred Luna from Houston, Texas; sister: Grace Henson (Phillip) from Crosby, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Matthew Palacios (Amy), Marisa Palacios (Rene Ochoa), Marina Koch (Cody Koch) and Marcy Hammond; 10 great-grandchildren: Ava Palacios, Mariah Palacio, Josiah Palacios, Ellayna Ochoa, Xavier Sierra, Brodie Hernandez, Wyatt Hammond, Brynlee Glynn, Ryleigh Koch and Reese Koch.

Visitation will begin Monday, August 8, 2022, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, August 9, 2022, St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Aransas Pass. Interment will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass, Texas.
