Aransas Pass – Alejandro “Cano” Garza passed away on November 26, 2024. He was 49. Cano was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 10, 1975 to Cecilia (Moreno) and Conrado Garza. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Cano is preceded in death by his parents: Conrado and Cecilia Garza.
Survivors include his loving wife of 14 years: Linda Martinez from Aransas Pass, Texas; son: Luis Daniel Armendariz; daughters: Monica Arriga from Aransas Pass, Texas, Mindy from Ingleside, Texas and Jolynn Longoria from San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Nadia, Andrea, Marilynn, Aubrey, Zamarii and Ghalilea; brothers: Conrado Garza, Jr. (Mirna) from Brownsville, Texas, Manuel Garza (Estella Cortez) from San Antonio, Texas, Ruben Garza (Minerva), Jaime Garza, Hector Garza (Veronica) and Gerardo Garza (Elizabeth) all from Brownsville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Monday, December 2, 2024, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea. Burial will follow in San Ignacio Cemetery, Ingleside.
