Alfredo Garza, Sr.

Sinton – Alfredo Garza, Sr. passed away September 7, 2023. He was 64.

Alfredo was born on April 23, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Maria (Dela Luz) and Lazaro Garza. He was a resident of Sinton most of his life, but lived previously in Corpus Christi for a few years. Alfredo was formerly employed in Construction. He was a hard-working man, loved the outdoors and fishing, and loved his family and grandchildren.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Lazaro Sr. and Maria Garza; brother: Benito Garza.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 47 years: Irene B. Garza from Sinton, Texas; daughters: Alma Ann Garcia (Alfredo Jr.) from Scurry, Texas, Arlene Chavez (Pete Jr.) and Adriana Wilson (Justin); son: Alfredo Garza, Jr. (Elizabeth), all from Sinton, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother: Lazaro Garza, Jr. (Olga) from Rockport, Texas; sisters: Mary Alice Leal, Esmeralda Pena and Amelia Garza, all from Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin Saturday, September 9, 2023, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 6:45 PM at the funeral home. The Christian Rites service will follow the rosary at 7:30 PM.
