Alfredo "Freddy" Rodriguez

Taft – Alfredo “Freddy” Rodriguez passed away October 24, 2020. He was 66.

Freddy was born on December 19, 1953 in Taft, Texas to Santiago Sr. and Lidia (Torres) Rodriguez. He was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. Freddy was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a  former mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Santiago Sr. and Lidia Rodriguez; brothers: Arturo Rodriguez, Gilbert Rodriguez and Santiago Rodriguez; sister: Maria Carillo.

Survivors include his loving wife: Minnie Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; son: Rey Marroquin (Diane) of Sinton, Texas; daughters: Linda Rodriguez (Daniel) of Sinton, Texas, Lidia Garza (Mauricio) of Schertz, Texas and Lorian Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Marisa Rodriguez, Johnathan Marroquin, Daniel “DJ” Rodriguez III, Bella Vie Garza, Kloee Garza, Leonidus Garza and Maximus Garza; granddog: Chico; brother: Peter Rodriguez, Sr. (Patricia) of Taft, Texas; sisters: Ramona Moreno of Aransas Pass, Texas; Delia Garcia of Gregory, Texas; Janie Saldana (Santos) of Taft, Texas and Molly Topper of Taft, Texas; mother-in-law: Refugia Rivera of Taft, Texas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2020, 5:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the church. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 30, 2020, 12:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. The Graveside Service will follow in Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi at 2:00 PM.
