Sinton- Alfredo “Howdy” Vasquez, a man deeply passionate about welding, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at the age of 74. He dedicated his life to his craft, contributing to the construction of several refineries across the Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama areas. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to build his own business, Howdy's Welding, from the ground up. Howdy's Welding was renowned not only for its industrial projects but also for the unique customized stainless steel jewelry and belt buckles that Howdy meticulously crafted.

Outside of his professional achievements, Howdy was an avid outdoorsman who cherished fishing trips and hunting adventures. These passions brought him great joy and relaxation, often shared with family and friends.

Howdy’s faith and love for God were central to his life. He found great strength and comfort in his spiritual beliefs. His unwavering faith guided him through life’s challenges and joys alike.

Howdy’s legacy is marked by his unwavering dedication to his work, his innovative spirit, and his love for creating beauty in both large-scale and personal projects. 

Howdy was predeceased by his parents, Alfonso and Victoria Vasquez. He is survived by his loving wife, Belinda, son Michael of Sinton, TX, daughter Bridget (Javier) Guevara of Laredo, TX, and granddaughter Kataliyah.

Visitation will begin Thursday, January 16, 2025, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Chapel Service will be held the same evening, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be posted at a later date. 

Howdy’s joyful spirit and love for his family, welding, and the outdoors will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
