Obituary

Aransas Pass - Andy (Andrew) Clayton Willis was born on December 20th, 1968 and died peacefully on Sunday February 26th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Clayton Nathan Willis. Andy was a 1987 graduate of Aransas Pass High School where he was a scholar athlete. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school and served actively and proudly in the Persian Gulf War/Desert Storm. After he got out of the military, he worked at Koch Refinery in Corpus Christi and was also involved in e-trade stocks, as well as private security before he began to work in the home renovation and repairs business. As an entrepreneur, he was well known and liked in the Coastal Bend community. He was a humble man of honor and integrity. He accepted Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior at an early age and was a man of faith and prayer.  Andy was a native of the island of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean and leaves to mourn many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Willis, Lafortune, DeLeon, Benjamin, and Placide families.

He was a great father to his son Hunter and nephew Daniel who he raised together with Charlene Vaal. He was famous for his barbecues, his passion for sports and politics, and his deep devotion to his mother and family. He will be missed for his generosity and calm, easy-going personality.

He is survived by his son: Hunter Nowotny from Indiana; mother: Loretta Willis from Aransas Pass; 3 sisters:  Denise Willis from Galveston, Dolorese Gail Willis from Aransas Pass and Sharon Yvette Giorgi from Galveston; brother: Dave Willis from Galveston; adopted sisters: Crystal Neville and her children and grandchildren from Alabama and Claudia Lew and her children from Canada.

He is also survived by his nephews: Daniel Willis from Aransas Pass, Paul Harris and Nathan Willis both from Austin; nieces: Stephanie Giorgi from Galveston, Sarah Harris from Houston, Alyssa Mireles and Nevaeh Willis both from Ingleside; his girlfriend of almost 5 years: Minerva Assee and her children and grandson.
