Taft – Anita Geraldine Rodriguez passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at the age of 56.

Born on February 25, 1970, in Taft, Texas, to Anita (Bustos) and Salvador R. Rodriguez, Sr., Geraldine was a woman whose joyful spirit could brighten any room. She had a deep love for music, and whenever her favorite songs played, she couldn't resist getting up to dance. Her laughter, warm smile, and cheerful personality made it easy for others to feel welcome in her presence.

Above all else, Geraldine treasured her family. Whether sharing stories, celebrating special occasions, or simply spending time together, the moments she shared with those she loved meant the world to her. She had a kind heart, an uplifting spirit, and a genuine love for the people around her. Geraldine's memory will live on through the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Paul Zamora; her parents, Salvador R. Rodriguez, Sr. and Anita Bustos; her brother, Salvador B. Rodriguez, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Gonzalo Bustos and Maria G. Bustos; and her paternal grandparents, Teofilo Rodriguez and Maria DeJesus Rodriguez.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brothers, Teofilo B. "Teddy" Rodriguez, Enrique B. Rodriguez (Joyce), and Steve B. Rodriguez, all of Taft, Texas, and Jimmy B. Rodriguez of Rockport, Texas; her sister, Alma Linda Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor her life and the beautiful memories they shared with her.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Rodriguez, Christian Rodriguez, Gabriel Bajaran, Jr., Marcus Bajaran, Robeldo Riojas, Eric Rodriguez, Sr., and Eric Rodriguez, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Holy Rosary will be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Taft. Interment will follow at Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery in Taft.
