Taft – Anna Maria Rivera passed away on July 1, 2024. She was 75.

Anna was born June 1, 1949 in Taft, Texas to Anita (Diaz) and Trinidad Nunez. She was a lifelong resident of Taft. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death by her grandsons: Angel Medina and Jessie Medina; parents: Trinidad and Anita Nunez; sister: Margie Saenz.

Survivors include her sons: Lionel Medina from Taft, Texas, Gilbert Rivera (Angela) from Cooper, Texas and Fidel Rivera (Jessica) from Richland Hills, Texas; daughters: Melissa Salazar (Michael) from Taft, Texas and Ruby Trevino from Portland, Texas; brother: Trinidad “Trino” Nunez from Taft, Texas; sisters: Olivia Hernandez from Minnesota, Alicia Benavides (Martin) from Aransas Pass, Texas, Sylvia Lopez (Ricky) from Mansfield, Texas and Elisa Guerra from Alice, Texas; 21 grandchildren: numerous great-grandchildren: 5 great-great grandchildren; former spouse: Gilberto Luis Rivera from Taft, Texas.

Visitation will begin Monday, July 8, 2024, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same morning, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 8, 2024, 1:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Taft. Burial will be private.
