Armando Sanchez, Jr.

Sinton – Armando Sanchez, Jr. passed away February 12, 2021 after a brief illness. He was 58.

Armando was born on November 13, 1962 in Sinton, Texas to Armando Sr. and Olivia (Gutierrez) Sanchez. He was a lifelong resident of Sinton where he attended Sinton schools. Armando was well-known in the community. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved classic cars and was a friend to many. Armando was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Armando Sr. and Olivia Gutierrez Sanchez; and his niece: Jessica Plata.

Survivors include his wife: Jo Ann Zapata from Sinton, Texas; his children: Lisa Sanchez Leal (Sergio), Valerie Sanchez and Armando Sanchez, III, all from Taft, Texas; Adam Velasquez and Audrey Zapata, both from Sinton, Texas; 14 grandchildren; brothers: Joe Henry Pereida from Calallen, Texas; Robert Lee Sanchez and Jesse Sanchez, both from Sinton, Texas; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin Monday, February 22, 2021, 12:00 noon at the  Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 11:00 AM at the church. Private burial will follow at a later date.
