Arthur Robert Goode was called to his heavenly home on the morning of Wednesday, September 18, 2024. 

Arthur was born on November 13, 1973 in Sinton, Texas to Donald Goode and Angeles Cortes Goode. He was the baby brother to his two sisters, Beatriz Adami and Nancy Dawes. 

In June of 2013, he married Tara Goode. Later that year, the two would welcome their first son, Crew H. Goode. A few years later, their family welcomed another bundle of joy in their second son, Calvin B. Goode. Arthur adored his family very much, making sure to tell them daily, “I love you.”.

Arthur loved selflessly and was adored by many. He will be remembered as someone who put family first and never hesitated to help someone when they needed it. He was easy to talk to and crack jokes with. He sought out and thought the best in everyone he met. 

Arthur was a proud Sinton Pirate and Del Mar College graduate, who loved watching the Cowboys, the Spurs, quoting comedy movies, and knew his way around a barbecue pit. 

Growing up, his summers were spent in Mexico with his many cousins in Puebla and Mexico City.

He inherited his gentle nature from his father and his generous and loyal love of family from his mother. 

He devoted many years of service to Coonrod Electric, a job he enjoyed going to and where he made many life-long friends who became a second family to him. 

Though we mourn the loss of Arthur’s warm presence here on Earth, we rejoice in the beautiful moment he was welcomed home by Jesus, and the happy reunions with loved ones who have gone before us.

Arthur is preceded in death by his father: Donald Goode; his maternal grandparents: Gloria Ester and Manuel Cortes; paternal grandparents: William Arthur Goode and Nadine Hogan Goode; brother-in-law: Don Michael Dawes. 

He is survived by his wife: Tara; sons: Crew and Calvin; mother: Angeles Cortes Goode; sisters: Beatriz (Robert) Adami and Nancy (Michael) Dawes; his nieces: Leslie (Remy) Huston and Stephanie Dawes (Ricky Roberts); nephew: Justin Adami; great-nephew, Rylan Roberts, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins in Mexico who he so dearly loved.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas. Friends and loved ones are invited to visit and pray with family between 6:00- 9:00 P.M. 

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM with an interment of ashes to follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.
