Taft – Arturo Garcia passed away March 29, 2023. He was 80. Arturo was born on September 29, 1942 in Lockhart, Texas. He has resided in Taft, Texas since the early ‘70s and resided in Lubbock, Texas prior. Arturo was a former truck driver for Aparicio Trucking in Taft, Texas. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his spouse: Modesta P. Garcia; son: Ernesto Garcia; daughters: Palmira Rivera and Sylvia Rivera Longoria.
Survivors include his sons: Robert Garcia (Monica), Guadalupe Garcia (Sandra)both from Taft, Texas, Benito Rivera from Dallas, Texas, Chris Garcia and Rene Garcia both from Irving, Texas; daughters: Aida Rivera and Elvira Gonzalez (Chris) both from Taft, Texas; numerous grandchildren: numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; numerous siblings in West, Texas
Visitation will begin Friday, March 31, 2023, 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.
