Audelia G. Pena

Taft – Audelia G. Pena passed away January 12, 2022. She was 85. Audelia was born on March 12, 1936 in Kingsville, Texas to Leopoldo and Margarita (Lopez) Garza. She was a resident of Taft, Texas for the last 50 years and formerly resided in Falfurrias, Texas. Audelia was a former nurse’s assistant at Trinity Towers and the Taft Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Nasario Pena; parents: Leopoldo and Margarita Garza.

She is survived by her son: Enrique Pena from Taft, Texas; grandchildren: Edward Pena (Gina), Robert Pena, Eric Pena all from Portland, Texas and Jon-Michael Pena (Ashley) from Corpus Christi, Texas; great-grandchildren: Joey Pena, Ayden Pena, Maleah Pena and Jalorean Pena.

Visitation will begin Monday, January 17, 2022, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Taft. A Graveside Service will follow in Sacred Heart Burial Park Cemetery, Falfurrias at 1:00 PM.
