Sinton – August “Gus” Alfred Swierc passed away on June 17, 2022. He was 93.
Gus was born on August 19, 1928 in Falls City, Texas to Josephine (Richter) and Conrad Swierc. He is a U.S. Army Veteran. Gus was retired from Reynolds Aluminum where he worked many years. Gus made Sinton, Texas his home. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding in death is his wife: E. Delores Swierc; and parents: Conard and Josephine Swierc.
Survivors include sons: William C. Swierc (Sandy) from Katy, Texas; Darryl Swierc (Roxanne) and Gerald Swierc ( Glenda), all from Portland, Texas; Thomas Swierc from Sinton, Texas; David Swierc (Mylinda) from New Braunfels, Texas; daughters: Patricia Larimore ( J. Ross) from Martinsburg, West Virginia; sister: Valerie Faight from Ozark, Arkansas; sister-in- law: Vicki Swierc from Falls City, Texas; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Wednesday June 22, 2022. The family will receive guests from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at 6:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 23, 2022, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.
