Sinton — Augustine Arredondo Garza, Sr.  lovingly known to many as a devoted family man and loyal friend, passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on February 15, 1951, in Beeville, Texas, to Jose Angel and Dominga (Arredondo) Garza, Augustine lived a life centered around the people he loved most. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a grandfather whose eyes would light up whenever he was surrounded by his grandchildren. Family was the heart of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether it was sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying each other's company, Augustine made those around him feel loved, valued, and at home.

Augustine had a gentle and caring spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures—watching television, cooking meals for those he loved, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. His kitchen was often a place where family gathered, laughter was shared, and memories were made. He had a way of bringing people together, and his presence made every gathering feel a little warmer.

More than anything, Augustine loved being "Grandpa." The time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness. He celebrated their accomplishments, shared in their joys, and loved them with all his heart. The memories they created together will forever remain a source of comfort and strength.

Augustine was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Rosalinda Garza; his parents, Jose Angel and Dominga Garza; his brother, Jesse Garza; his sister, Maria Espinosa; and his sister-in-law, Olga Cantu Garza.

He leaves behind a family who will continue to honor his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion: his son, Augustine Garza, Jr. (Ruby) of Sinton, Texas; his daughter, Sandra Ramirez (Bobby Hernandez) of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren, Kacy Gonzales, Linda Gonzales, Yolanda Garza, Augustine Garza III, Manuel Lee Ramirez, Franki Sanchez, Matthew Garza, and Jeremy Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Nathan D. Brock, Natali W. Brock, Nyah L. Brock, Miles Garza, Oliver B. Ramirez, and one precious great-grandchild on the way; his brother, Toy Garza of Sinton, Texas; and his sisters, Maria Brandenburg (Frank) and Juana Cantu (Israel, Sr.), both of Sinton, Texas.

Although his family mourns the loss of a man who meant so much to them, they find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind. His love, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to guide them in the days ahead. Augustine's life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Graveside service will be held Monday, June 22, 2026, 9:00 AM at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
