Beatrice Adame Obituary

Beatrice Adame, a cherished mother and grandmother, passed away at 93 years old on November 18, 2025. Born in Taft, Texas, on March 11, 1932, Beatrice spent many years in her hometown and made Sinton and Portland places she lovingly called home.

Affectionately called Mom, Mommie, Grandma Bea, and Nana, Beatrice was the gentle heart of her family. With a naturally quiet demeanor, she welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness. She was eager to know how those around her were doing, with thoughtful questions and conversation. Her remarkable memory meant she never forgot a birthday, an appointment, or when someone was heading out of town. Throughout her life, she was known for being independent and supporting her family.

So many of us have beautiful memories we shared with Mommie. From the early summer mornings in Taft and walking together at sunrise to Ama’s house to share a home-cooked breakfast, coffee, and the company of familiar faces stopping by to visit. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the many years we were blessed to spend by her side.

Though we miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited in heaven with her parents, Luis Tamez Adame and Margarita Montez Adame, brother Roy Adame, sister Juanita Fuentes, son Roland Alvarado, and both a great-grandchild and a great-great grandchild. After years without sight, we rejoice in the thought that she can now see again, taking in all the beauty of her heavenly home.

Beatrice is survived by daughter Mayra Orta, son Cipriano Alvarado, Jr. (Elena), daughter Alicia Cantu (George), son Frank Alvarado (Mary Estella), son Edward Alvarado, brother Santiago “Jimmie” Adame, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated home health care providers who traveled to Sinton, as well as the staff at Coastal Palms Nursing Home for their exceptional care, support, and kindness.

Visitation will begin Monday, November 24, 2025, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow, 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
