Rockport-Beatrice Rubinowitz Dorf passed away on February 24, 2021. She was 98.

Beatrice was born on December 19, 1922 to David and Tovah “Tillie” (Kandel) Rubinowitz. She was a resident of Rockport, Texas for 10 years and former resident of Austin, Texas for 40 years. Beatrice worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years and served as a nurse during World War II. She was a professional photographer as well an artist. Beatrice was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in dead by her parents: David and Tovah (Kandel) Rubinowitz; husband: Jerry Dorf; and sister: Mae Rubinowitz Meschel.

Survivors include her brother: Murray Roberts (Helga) of New Jersey; son: Eugene Dorf (Barbara) of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter: Barbara Dorf (Tracy Villareal) of Rockport, Texas; grandchildren: Jacob Dorf (Sarah) of Louisville, Kentucky and Mark Dorf of New York City; great-grandchildren: Maggie Dorf, Jonathon Dorf, Everett Dorf and a cat of 18 years named Freya.
