Taft – Beatrice Maldonado Garcia passed away August 28, 2025. She was 76.

Beatrice was born in Taft, Texas on July 14, 1949 to Leonor (Alvarez) and Vidal Maldonado. She was a charismatic and compassionate woman, known for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. A devoted mother, sister, and beloved friend, she welcomed everyone with open arms and treated her children’s friends as her own. Her understanding nature and forgiving heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Beatrice was a talented seamstress calling her business "Busy Bea’s Sewing", where she was admired for her craftsmanship and attention to detail.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Preceding in death is her husband: Julio V. Garcia; parents: Vidal and Leonor Maldonado; and brother: Mario Maldonado.

Survivors include her: sons: Gabriel Rodriguez from Dickinson, Texas, Jose Angel Rodriguez from Taft, Texas, Antonio Rodriguez, Jr. from Arlington, Texas, and David Anthony Rodriguez from Rockport, Texas; daughter: Anna Marissa Rodriguez (Brad) from Taft, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Andres Vasquez (Minnie) from San Antonio, Texas, Juan Maldonado (Alicia) Robstown, Texas, and Vidal Maldonado (Yolanda) from Austin, Texas; and sister: Viola Maldonado; sister in-law: Esther Maldonado.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated, September 3, 2025, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Portland.
