Belen M. Esquivel

Edroy – Belen Morin Esquivel passed away September 1, 2023. She was 89.

Belen was born January 27, 1934 in Edroy, Texas to Santana (Rodriguez) and Jose Morin. She worked many years for Ralph’s Food packaging, 21 years for Haggar Apparel, Fox Nursery and as a house cleaner. Belen enjoyed baking and shopping with her daughter. Her pride and joy were her twins, her grandchildren and her loyal friends.  Belen’s memory will always be cherished by all of those whose life she touched…We love you. She gave her hand out to anybody that needed it and was always joking around.  Belen loved dancing with her companion George Mota. She was a caring, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Jose Esquivel; great-granddaughter: Danielle Rae Marroquin; parents: Santana R. and Jose Morin; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors include her daughters: Sylvia (Manuel) Pena from Corpus Christi, Texas, Linda (Manuel) Ruiz, Jr. from Robstown, Texas and Angie Esquivel from Corpus Christi, Texas; sons: David Esquivel from Odem, Texas, Joe (Rebecca) from Pleasanton, Texas and Jimmy (Norma) Esquivel from Sinton, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held, September 16, 2023, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton.  A Funeral Service will be the same morning, 10:00 AM, Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Edroy Cemetery in Edroy, Texas.

Honorary pallbearers will be: M. J. Ruiz and Michael Ruiz.
