Betty Jean Jackson

Ingleside–Betty Jean Jackson passed away on December 2, 2020. She was 94.

Betty was born on April 23, 1926 in Independence, Missouri to Oliver Edward and Pearl Elizabeth (Bray) Hurst. Betty was a homemaker mostly, but worked alongside her husband at the Brokerage and Insurance Company that they owned. She was a resident of Ingleside, Texas for almost 50 years and a former resident of Mission, Kansas. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Eugene Jackson; parents: Ed and Pearl Hurst; brothers: Harold Hurst and Nev Ireland.

Survivors include her daughters: Cheryl Smith of Aransas Pass, Texas; Karen Clanton (Chip) of Sugarland, Texas; Mary Murphy (Richard) of Uvalde, Texas; Patricia Larsen (Scooter) of Aransas Pass, Texas; sons: Eugene Jackson of Ingleside, Texas and Dennis Jackson of Aransas Pass, Texas; 12 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. The family will receive guests from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
