Taft – Betty Lou Robertson passed away peacefully January 25, 2020. She was 84.
Betty was born in Crystal, Michigan on December 7, 1935 to George and Altheda (Wininger) DeYoung. She spent 26 years as a resident of Taft, Texas. Betty worked at HEB as a secretary in the main office for 17 years. She was a beloved wife of 55 years and a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death is her husband: Jack Robertson; parents: George and Altheda DeYoung; brothers: Carl DeYoung and George DeYoung Jr.
Survivors include her son: Johnny Robertson of Plano, Texas; daughter: Christine Hospodar (Douglas) of Odem, Texas; brother: Jack Boilaeu of Carson City, Michigan; grandchildren: Jacob Hospodar, Chelsea Elliott and Dylan Robertson; great-grandchildren: Raelynn Thomas, Bentley Eggert and Jaxon Elliott.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral service will be celebrated Friday, January 31, 2020, 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Taft. Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Garden
Cemetery, Taft.
