Aransas Pass- Joyce was born on December 20, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Lonnie & Virginia Williamson. Joyce was the 5th of 7 children.
Joyce attended South San High School in San Antonio, where she was a cheerleader and friend to so many. Meeting her future husband shortly after High School they joined in Holy Matrimony on July 11, 1953 for 67 years. To this union 5 children were born, Donna Sue, Sherry Lynn, Calvin Marion, Joyce Elaine and Michael Glenn.
Joyce enjoyed dancing, watching wildlife, riding around on the ranch, traveling and was an avid doll and antique collector, however closest to her heart was spending time with her beloved family.
Beverly “Joyce” Cathey was called home after a brief illness on July 8, 2020 at 4:33 am to walk with the angels. She was preceded in death by: Calvin M. Cathey, Sr. (husband), sons Calvin M. Cathey, Jr. and Michael Glenn Cathey, parents Lonnie S. Williamson and Virginia Woods.
She leaves to cherish her memories: A sister Dorothy Stanley, children Donna Sue (Larry), Sherry Lynn (Richard) Joyce Elaine (Jack)

Grandchildren: Stephanie (Tobin), Jason (Nikki), Rocky, Jennifer (Audie), Candice (Cliff), Brandon (Chezna), Morgan, Kimberly (Joe) Jeran, Calli, Alyssa (Billy) Jarrett (America) and 27 Great-Grandchildren.
Joyce and Sonny will be reunited in heaven today on their 67th Anniversary.
