Bob R Long

Beeville – Bob R. Long passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023. He was 86. Bob was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on October 3, 1936 to Bernice (Langston) and Omar Long. Bob served his country with the US Navy.  During his life he was a diligent hard worker in all of his endeavors. He has a great love of animals including his precious ‘Lil Cutie’.  He always said “If my dog don’t like you, neither do I”.  Bob was loved by everyone who touched his life.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years: Mary Maxene White Long; parents: Omar and Bernice Long; brother: Joe Long; loving in-laws whom he considered brothers: Lynn Daniel, Michael Capps, Bryan White; nephew: Michael White.

Survivors include his brothers: Fred (Janet) Long from Pryor, Oklahoma, George (Carla) White from Granbury, Texas, John (Lana) White from Marshall, Texas, Randy (Ruth) White from Beeville, Texas, Marty (Taria) Long from Florida; sisters: Kathy Daniel from Aransas Pass, Texas, Debra White from Cleburne, Texas, Diane Capps from La Vernia, Texas and Karon Long from Oklahoma; granddaughter: Anna Hermes from Oklahoma.  Several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many loving friends.

Special “Thank you” to Fr. Kris Bauta, Fr. Jacob Vaylath, The Faith Choir of St. James Catholic Church, Tribute Hospice, especially Natalie, Melissa, Yvette, Sharlene and Latoya. He loved them all.

A Graveside Service will be held May 27, 2023, 11:00 AM, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Beeville, Texas.
