Corpus Christi – Cameron Alexander Scifres passed away December 27, 2021. He was 21 years old.
Cameron was born August 28, 2000 to Kristen Merryman-Scifres. He was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. Cameron worked as a chef at The Bluff's Landing, The Lookout and Grumbles Seafood. He loved to spend his free time hanging out on the island, fishing, and cooking. Cameron was so caring and always willing to lend a hand. He was always joking and making others laugh. Cameron was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his uncle: Micah Merryman-Scifres.
Survivors include his parents: Kristen and Kenny Salinas from Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers: Zachary Soliz (Veronica) from Sinton, Texas and Kenny “KJ” Salinas from Houston, Texas; sister: Sommer Ramos (Troy) and Autumn Cantu (Ryan) both from Corpus Christi, Texas; grandparents: Mike and Linda Merryman-Scifres from Corpus Christi, Texas; grandmother: Eloisa Salinas from Sinton, Texas; uncle: Ryan Merryman-Scifres (Dr. Alicia Renck) from California; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.
The family will begin receiving guests at 5:00 PM on Friday, January 7, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, 1:00 PM at the Grace Community Church in Flour Bluff, Texas.
