Captolia D. Edlin

Aransas Pass- Captolia D. Edlin passed away on March 18, 2020. She was 86. Captolia was born on May 6, 1933 in Lexington, Kentucky. Captolia was a big part of the history of Aransas Pass as it was known as “The Shrimp Capital of the World” having owned and operated the “City Lounge” for many years.

Preceding in death is her husband: Marion Garnett Edlin; father: George Griffith

Survivors include her daughters: April Gray of Aransas Pass, Texas; Alice Dykema of Portland, Texas; son: Russell Edlin of Aransas Pass, Texas along with several brothers and sisters and numerous grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday March 20, 2020, 2:00 PM at the Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.
