Carlos Javier Vasquez

Sinton – Carlos Javier Vasquez passed away June 15, 2021. He was 66.

Carlos was born on February 8, 1955 to Pedro and Roberta (Resio) Vasquez. He was a resident of Sinton, Texas for the past 46 years and formerly resided in San Antonio, Texas and Laredo, Texas. Carlos retired from Flint Hills Resources as an Operator after working 25 years.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Pedro and Roberta R. Vasquez; brothers: Santos Vasquez, Pablo Vasquez, Manuel Cuellar; sisters: Juanita Posada and Irene V. Garcia; brother in law: Frank Castillo.

Survivors include his loving wife: Rosa Anna "Chana"  Vasquez of Sinton, Texas; son: Carlos Javier Vasquez, Jr. (Natalie) of Houston, Texas; daughter: Amanda Lee Perez (Jeff) of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Jonathan DeLeon, Emma Perez, Christian Vasquez-DeCrosta, Giuliana Perez, Ava Perez and Easton Schwab; brother: Pedro Vasquez, Jr. (Diana) of Sinton, Texas; sisters: Juanita Ortega (Miguel) of Laredo, Texas, Vicenta Moreno (Jesus) of San Antonio, Texas and Martha Castillo of Austin, Texas.

Visitation will begin Thursday, June 17, 2021, 5:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 18, 2021, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will be private.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Contreras, Mark Moreno, Vicente Garcia, James Garcia, Gabriel Moreno and Noah Garcia.
