Carol Louise Sharbono, 79, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and leaving behind hearts that will forever miss her. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

In a moment that feels both heartbreaking and beautiful, Carol passed away on her beloved late husband’s birthday. After sharing 47 years of marriage together, her family finds peace in believing she was finally reunited with the love of her life. Carol’s love was felt in the little things that meant the most — especially in her kitchen, where she baked with so much care and warmth. Her son, Butch, always said she made the very best date cookies, and her famous lemon bars became a sweet tradition cherished by everyone lucky enough to enjoy them.

Carol had the rare gift of loving people exactly as they were. She never judged, never turned anyone away, and was always there with an open heart, a listening ear, and unwavering support through both the joys and hardships of life. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched countless lives, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all who knew her. She also shared her love for The Lord of the Rings with family and friends, creating memories and connections that will forever be treasured.

Carol was born on December 30, 1946, in Hamilton, Montana to Ruth (Wilson) Brown and Everritt Brown. She found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments, especially watching birds and caring for the hummingbirds she loved so dearly. Carol also cherished traveling through Idaho, Washington, and Oregon with her special friend, Gary, creating memories that brought her happiness and peace.

Carol is preced in death by her spouse, Alva Dean Sharbono; children: sleeping baby and Becky Sharbono; and son-in-law: Jeff Harris. 

More than anything, Carol loved her family deeply. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, strength, and treasured memories in her son, Butch Sharbono (Cherrie) of Montana; daughter, Tammy Harris of Rockport; brother, Carl Brown (Joyce) of Montana; sister, Rebecca Roth (Joe) of Montana; grandchildren, Meghan Miller (Ben), George Sharbono, Holly Sharbono (Jory), Memphys Harris, and Da-Nashia Harris; great-grandchildren, Fletcher Dzwonski, Kyzer Kelly, Finley Miller, Millie Sharbono, and Pearl Kelly; and her dear friend, Gary Doggett.

Though her family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort in the love Carol gave so freely throughout her life. Her gentle presence, caring heart, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain forever treasured.
