Rockport – Cathy Sharon Chrisman, 78, passed away on September 1, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Dorthy and William Reitch.

Cathy was a loving mother, devoted wife, and a woman whose caring spirit touched the lives of so many around her. She had a special way of making the people she loved feel cared for, and her family was at the heart of her life.

Cathy was an amazing mother and a wonderful cook. She found joy in creating meals for the people she loved, bringing family together around the table and making ordinary moments feel special. Her love and generosity could be felt in the many ways she cared for her family.

Cathy was also an engineer with a creative mind and a passion for design. She especially loved designing houses, bringing her ideas to life and imagining the places where people would make memories and build their lives. Her creativity, intelligence, and ability to turn an idea into something beautiful were a reflection of the unique person she was.

Cathy’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who knew and loved her. Though she is deeply missed, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain with her family forever.

Cathy was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Thomas Lee Chrisman.

She is survived by her sons, Noel Chrisman and Christopher Chrisman; daughter, Sharon O’Neill; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Her family will forever cherish the memories of her love, her laughter, her cooking, her creativity, and the many ways she made their lives better simply by being part of them.
