Sinton – Cecilio Gonzales passed away on September 11, 2024. He was 94.
Cecilio was born October 13, 1929 in Georgetown, Texas to Catarina (Nanez) and Marcos Gonzales. He was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas. Cecilio retired as a backhoe operator, working for many companies in the Sinton area. He will always be remembered as loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his parents: Marcos and Catarina Gonzales; 6 siblings.
Cecilio is survived by his loving wife: Virginia Gonzales from Sinton, Texas; son: Cecilio Gonzales, Jr. from Sinton, Texas; daughter: Mari G. Barrera (Roy) from Calallen, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Sergio Ramirez, Arabella Barrera, Ariana Barrera and Christian Gonzales; 2 great grandchildren: Andrew Castaneda and Alexis Ann Salinas.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 17, 2024, 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sinton, Texas. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.
