Obituary

Rockport–Charles Edward Simmons passed away on January 31, 2021. He was 73.

Charles was born November 4, 1948 in Key West, Florida to Everlee Simmons and May Ruth (Jenkins) Simmons. He was a resident of Rockport since 1958 and spent most of his upbringing in Virginia. He was a Shrimper. Charles was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. 

Charles is preceded in death by his parents: Everlee and May Ruth Simmons; brother: Roger Simmons; in-laws: Thomas Mitchell and Ruby Lee Mitchell.

Survivors include his loving wife: Sharon (Mitchell) Simmons of Rockport, Texas; sons: Charles Simmons Jr. of Rockport, Texas, Brandon Simmons (Amanda) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Thomas Simmons of Corpus Christi, Texas, Christopher Simmons of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Quaniesha Simmons (Tiffany Williams) of Corpus Christi, Texas; 17 grandchildren; sisters: Ruthie Mae Simmons of Dallas, Texas, Bonetta Ennix (Thomas) of Taft, Texas.  

A Memorial Service will be held on February 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM, Resthaven Funeral Home, Aransas Pass, Texas.
