Corey Nelson

Ingleside- Corey Nelson passed away peacefully on January 25, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 50. Corey was born on March 2, 1969 in Aransas Pass, Texas to James and Dianne Nelson. He was a certified welding inspector for Flint Hills. Corey was an avid fisherman, loved every child he ever met. Corey was an enthusiastic lover of all sports and enjoyed gambling.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Nelson, a brother, James Nelson Jr., a step-brother, Brian Rodocker, and his grandmother, Mamie Wiley.

He is survived by his loving wife, JoBeth Nelson of Ingleside, Tx. A daughter, Amber Nelson of Aransas Pass, Tx. Two step-sons, Trichtian and Jayce Spruell both of Ingleside, Tx. His mother, Dianne Rischar of Lancaster, Ca. a brother, Nick LaRocco of Palmdale, Ca. three sisters, Jennifer Nelson, Dana Smith and Chelsey Rischar all of Lancaster, Ca., two step-sisters, Cathy Rodocker and Candi Hill both of Aransas Pass, Tx. One grandson, Kason Fonseca.

Visitation will be held starting at 3:00 pm., Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass, Tx., with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 29,2020 at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass, Texas.  Interment will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery.
