David Esquivel passed away on December 2, 2025. He was 65.

David was born on November 27, 1960 in Mathis, Texas to Belen (Morin) and Jose Esquivel. He made his home in Odem, Texas where he built a lifelong career as a skilled and dedicated carpenter.

David was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. He never met a stranger—his warm personality, easy conversation, and readiness to lend a hand made him a friend to many. He will be remembered as a kindhearted man whose friendly voice and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

David is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Marroquin; and his parents, Jose and Belen Esquivel.

Survivors include his children: Joseph David Esquivel from Odem, Texas; Loretta Garcia (Chris) from Corpus Christi, Texas; Miranda Marroquin (Frankie) from Houston, Texas; cherished grandchildren Aliana Marroquin, Mila Esquivel, Aubrey Marroquin, Jaxon Garcia and Hailey Garcia, 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and the mother of his children, Gloria Esquivel from Odem, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. Services will conclude at the close of the ceremony.
