Taft – David Sturgeon, Sr. passed away June 25, 2024.  He was 48.

David was born in Taft, Texas to Rosalinda (Saldivar) and Robert H. Sturgeon on December 7, 1975. He was the CEO/proud owner of Sturgeon Painting and Remodeling. David was a lifelong resident of Taft. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  David was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death is his father: Robert H. Sturgeon, Sr.

Survivors include his sons: David A. Sturgeon, Jr (Honey Denise) from Chesapeake, Virginia, Matthew Sturgeon (Jackie) and Darron Sturgeon both from Taft, Texas; daughter: Tiffany Sturgeon from Taft, Texas; his first grandchild on the way: Leila Elise Sturgeon; mother: Rosalinda Sturgeon from Taft, Texas: brothers: Robert H. Sturgeon, Jr. and Mike Sturgeon, both from Taft, Texas; sister: Linda Olivo (Jason) from Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin Thursday, July 4, 2024, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Sinton Community Center, 1300 E. Sinton Street, Sinton, Texas, with Pastor Joshua Silva officiating. Burial will follow, 12:30 PM, in Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Portland.
