Dennis Lee Cluiss

Sinton –Dennis Lee Cluiss, 71, of Sinton, passed away on December 22, 2021. Dennis was born on March 2, 1950.  He attended Sinton schools where he developed some of the greatest friendships of his life.  He graduated from Sinton High School in 1968 and South Texas Business School.  Upon his college graduation, he served 6 years with the Army Reserves.  

He was married for 51 years to Kelly Whetstone of Odem and together they had 3 daughters, Denise Cluiss, Casey Flinn (Noe DeLeon Jr.) and Holly Houser (Patrick). He was blessed with 5 grandsons, Westley Roach, Gage Sliva, Hayden Roach (Miranda), Rees Flinn, William Houser and one granddaughter, Laynie Houser. 

Dennis had an amazing work ethic and he enjoyed the years he spent working for Commercial State Bank, San Patricio County Sheriff’s Department, Brown and Root and Oxy. When he wasn’t working, he was enjoying his great loves: cigarettes, camping, Beatles music and watching sports.  We will miss his witty, sharp sense of humor and his storytelling. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Westley and a host of family and friends.  

Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 11:00 AM to 12:30PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Graveside Service will be held the same day, 1:00 PM at Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.
