Diane Lynn Gonzales, 71, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will miss her beyond words.

Born on July 10, 1954, in Elgin to Ruth (Warwick) and Ralph Pomeroy, Diane grew up with a spirited personality and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She carried that spirit with her throughout her 71 years.

Diane found joy in the little thrills that made her smile — whether it was a lively game of bingo, buying scratch-offs, or spending time at the game room. Gambling wasn’t just a pastime for her; it was something she genuinely enjoyed and a way she liked to unwind. She also loved fishing, appreciating the peace and quiet of the water. But above all else, Diane treasured her family. Time spent together — laughing, talking, and simply being present — meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Isaiah Ray Aguilar, and her parents, Ralph and Ruth Pomeroy, who surely welcomed her with open arms.

Diane leaves behind a legacy of love in her daughters, Lisa Gonzales (Richard Aguilar) of Uvalde and Sonja Gonzales (Juan Flores) of Sinton. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Richard, Kristian, Savannah, Candice, Delores, Fabian, Desirae, Destiny, Juan, and G.G., and a cherished great-grandmother to Alexander, Jude, Sofia, Jace, River, Riley, Zayden, Saylor, Emberlee, Hayzell, Izell, and Zayden. Each of them brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her brother, Dave; and her sisters, Georgia, Paula, Anette, Joyce, JoAnn, and Denise, along with extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Diane will be remembered for her strength, her love of fun, and the deep devotion she had for her family. Her laughter, her stories, and the special way she showed she cared will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A Memorial Service will follow, 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
