Lake City, Texas – Eddie Merril Smith passed away November 6, 2023. He was 77. Eddie was born September 12, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Lula Katherine (Hall) and Neal Hart Smith. He was born and raised in Ingleside, graduating from Ingleside High School. Eddie worked as a Coach for Ingleside ISD. He was also employed as an Operator for Veolia upon his retirement. Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his son: Neal Allan Smith; parents: Lula and Neal Smith; brothers: Tommy Ray Smith and Carl Lewis Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife: Carrie J. Smith from Lake City, Texas: son: Eddie M. Smith, Jr (Denise) from Ingleside, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; daughter in law: Tonya Kay Smith.

Burial will be private.
