Eleuterio "Lute" M. Castillo

Taft – Eleuterio “Lute” M. Castillo passed away peacefully on January 6, 2020. He was 82.

Lute was born in Taft, Texas on February 20, 1937 to Amador and Elidia (Martinez) Castillo. He was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas.

Preceding in death are his sons:  Eleuterio Castillo, Jr. and Martin Castillo; his parents: Amador and Elidia Castillo;  brother: Julio Castillo; and sister: Guadalupe Pena.

Survivors include his wife: Victoria Puentes Castillo; 3 sons: Juan Jose Castillo (Patricia) of Portland, Texas; Amador Castillo (Jennifer) and Efrain Castillo (Leticia), all of Taft, Texas; daughters: Maria Delrosario Castillo; Clarita Castillo; and Dolores Maldonado (David), all of Taft, Texas; Casilda Castillo (Joe Delgado) of Ingleside, Texas; 45 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers: Manuel, Mateo and Reynaldo Castillo; sisters: Elvia, Teresa, Josie and Janie.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A holy rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 10, 2020, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. Interment will follow in Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Naranjo, Jr., Ignacio Naranjo, Manuel Rivera, Martin Castillo, Jr., Viviano Naranjo, Jr. , John Hernandez and Amador Castillo, Jr.
