Odem – Elia Nino Botello passed away October 26, 2023. She was 88.
Elia was born August 29, 1935 in Odem, Texas to Victoria (Villarreal) and Sisto Nino. She was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas and a homemaker. Elia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death are her husband: Abel Flores Botello; parents: Sisto and Victoria Nino; siblings: Delia Martinez, Rudy Nino and Alcario Nino.
Survivors include her sons: Abel Botello, Jr. and Armando Botello, both from Odem, Texas; Adolfo Botello from Annaville, Texas; daughters: Esmeralda Botello (Raul) from Odem, Texas and Nelda Reyes (Roland) from Dallas, Texas; grandchildren: Jaime Aleman (Ana), Clarissa Aleman, Ariel Aleman, Joshua Reyes, Jared Reyes (Anna), Jessica Reyes, Jorge Botello (Emily), Miquel Botello, Arisela Botello; great-grandchildren: Cameron Aleman, Ava Aleman, Adelynn Aleman, Carter Aleman, Ella Aleman, Camila Reyes, Julian Reyes, Nora Reyes, Aubryna Botello, Austin Botello, Hayden Botello, Angelo Jimenez and Nicholas Botello; sister: Juanita Nino Torres (Antonio) from San Marcos, Texas; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will begin Thursday, November 2, 2023, 5:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Fr. Pete Elizardo reciting. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 3, 2023, 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Odem with Fr. Pete Elizardo as celebrant. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
Pallbearers will be Jaime Aleman, Cameron Aleman, Ariel Aleman, Jared Reyes, Jorge Botello, Miquel Botello and Jose Torres.
