Elsa G. Aguirre passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026 at her home surrounded by the people she loved most. She was 55.

Born on December 26, 1970 in Sinton, Texas. Elsa was the beloved daughter of Maria (Gonzales) and Guadalupe Aguirre, Sr. A lifelong resident of St. Paul, she graduated from Sinton High School and spent her early years working in construction before becoming a familiar and friendly face as a Walmart associate.

Elsa touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was generous to a fault—always willing to give the shirt off her back—and her playful spirit, sense of humor and love for a good gathering made her the heart of every room she entered. Above all, her world revolved around her children, grandchildren, partner and family. They were her greatest joy and her proudest legacy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Maria Aguirre.

Left to honor her memory are her children, Nicolas Serrano, Jr. (Rick) and Nicole Serrano (Jesse Garcia), both from Calallen, Texas; her cherished grandchildren, Evelyn Trejo and Jesse Garcia, Jr.; and her partner, Rachel Lopez from Gregory, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings: Adreana Cantu (Skipper), Soledad Aguirre and Patricia Aguirre, all from Sinton; Guadalupe Aguirre, Jr. from St. Paul; Felix Aguirre (Connie) from Colorado; Raul Aguirre and Luis Aguirre, both from Corpus Christi; and Mario Aguirre (Cassie) from St. Paul. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in John J. Welder Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Paul.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Mario Aguirre. Pallbearers are Billy Garcia, Roy Aguirre, Isaiah Ortiz, Luis Aguirre, Jr., Steven Aguirre, Charles “Tres” Cantu III, Dena Gutierrez and Alma Solis.
