Aransas Pass– Emma Amaya Bodine passed away on March 26, 2021. She was 66.
Emma was born on July 19, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Zenon Amaya and Eva Licea. She was a native of Corpus Christi but resided in Aransas Pass, Texas for 25 years. Emma was a graceful individual and loved her family. Emma’s work was a housewife where she brought up a beautiful home. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death are her parents: Zenon Amaya and Eva Licea and her son: Horacio Rubio Jr.
Survivors include her husband: Bradley Drew Bodine of Aransas Pass; son: Gabriel Rubio (Crystal) of San Antonio; daughters: Laura Rubio Elston of San Diego, California, Denise Yvette Farrell (Robert) of Austin; brothers: Sonny Amaya, Billy Amaya, Alex, Amaya, Rudy Amaya; sisters: Irene Amaya, Angie Amaya, Diana Amaya, Elizabeth Amaya; eight grandchildren: Gabriel Rubio, William Matthews, Anderson Rubio, Brandon Rubio, Peyton Rubio, Handyn Rubio, Myles Teeple, Jaden Elston and also three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 10:00 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
