Emma Ruiz
September 5, 1964-June 23, 2022
Emma Ruiz was called home to be with The Lord on June 23, 2022, in Kingwood, Tx at the age of 57 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy and memory by living their lives to the fullest.
Emma was born in Sinton, Tx on September 5, 1964 to Gregorio and Cristobal Ruiz. She spent her childhood and adolescent years making innumerable memories with her 9 brothers and sisters and loving parents. She was a Sinton High Graduate, class of 1983, where she was loved by many great friends and known for her athletic abilities and love for competitive sports.
Emma would go on to various trades before settling into a sales career with Stone Liquidators Exports and Imports where she spent 18 years traveling the US and developing many wonderful, meaningful friendships along the way.
Emma was a wonderful daughter, a loving sister and friend but one of Emma's greatest joys was in her nieces and nephews. While a devoted aunt to them all, Emma also often played the role of a mother, teacher, counselor and friend. She was the "fun cool auntie" who was always ready to spoil them with love and was always there when any one of them called. Her love for her nieces and nephews was beyond measure and Emma wanted nothing more than their happiness in return.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Emma. She loved spending time with family and friends- Especially her brothers and sisters. The love she had for them was the truest and purest of loves. She loved capturing moments and always made new friends feel loved. She was an avid Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboy fan and loved a fun trip to a casino. Emma was the life of every party she walked into and her big, beautiful personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Emma's presence on earth will never be forgotten, her love will always be felt and she will be missed by so many. Her faith in God was big. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life and the importance of family.
Emma is preceded in death by: her father and mother: Gregorio and Cristobal Ruiz, brother: Gregorio Ruiz Jr, brother in laws: Manuel Rivas Sr. and David Covarrubias, nephew: Michael
