Taft– Epifania T. “Pana” Galindo passed away on April 14, 2021. She was 98.
Pana was born on December 13, 1922 in Lampasos De Naranjo, Nuevo Leon to Juan A. and Epifania (San Miguel) Tijerina. She was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. Pana was a homemaker. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Manuel E. Galindo; parents: Juan and Epifania Tijerina; sisters: Dora Tijerina, Guadalupe Martinez, Luisa Nunez and Clarita Garcia; brothers: Juan A. Tijerina, Jose Tijerina and Ramon Tijerina.
Survivors include her son: Manuel Galindo (Esmeralda) of Taft, Texas; daughters: Mary Ann Garcia of Houston, Texas and Mary Vega (Bobby) of Taft, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Tony Tijerina of TN and Gilbert Tijerina of George West, Texas; sister: Petra Collazo of Kyle, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 5:00 PM-9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening at the funeral home at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Taft. Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Taft.
Pallbearers will be Joe Martin Garcia, Matthew Galindo, Manuel Galindo, III, Aaron Cantu, Robert Montemayor and Christopher Cantu.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Steve Galindo.
