Erlinda DeLaTorre Hinojosa

Erlinda Hinojosa passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on June 15, 2025.

Erlinda was born September 7, 1945 in Sinton, Texas to Hilaria (Garcia) and Jose DeLaTorre.  She was a resident of Odem all of her life. Erlinda was a Paraprofessional for Odem-Edroy ISD for many years. She was a Guadalupana at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Odem. Erlinda was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death are her husband: Raul B. Hinojosa, Sr.; daughter: Belinda Sue Hinojosa; son: Raul Hinojosa Jr.; parents: Hilaria and Jose DeLaTorre; in-laws: Ernesto and Isabel Hinojosa.

Survivors include 6 daughters: Brenda Hinojosa, Lisa Hinojosa, Jennifer Gonzales (Deacon Peter), and Sandra “LaLa” Vasquez (Hank) all of Odem, Texas; Yolanda Hinojosa (Robert), and Cindy Hinojosa (Isabel) both from Corpus Christi, Texas; son: Joe Ernest Hinojosa (Hope), Taft, Texas; sister: Janie Torres (Porfie), Sinton, Texas. 17 Grandchildren: Naomi Moreno, Hector Martinez Jr., Jasmine Rae Hinojosa, Zackary Michael Emerson, Mariah Danielle Sanchez, Enrique H. Vasquez IV,  Hillary Diane Gonzales, Nicholas Raul Hinojosa, Janelle Lynda Mendez, Dylan Vasquez, Aiden Gonzales, Petey Gonzales, Ryan Joseph Mendez, John Andrew Hinojosa, Matteo Vasquez, Talan Vasquez and Joe Angel Hinojosa; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Madysin Michelle and Mark Moreno Jr., Enrique Vasquez V

Pallbearers for the services will be her grandsons.

Visitation will begin Thursday, June, 19, 2025, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, Texas. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 20, 2025 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Odem, Texas. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
