Rockport – Ernest Valdez passed away on August 19, 2024. He was 72.
Ernest was born in Matador, Texas on November 27, 1951 to Tomasa (Camarillo) and Jose Valdez. He was an amazing musician who loved preaching and teaching others. Ernest also loved to go fishing and spending quality time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Ernest is preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Tomasa Valdez.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-seven years: Irene Valdez from Rockport, Texas; son: Benjamin Ernest Valdez from Rockport, Texas; daughters: Carol Farley (David) and Cathy Cuellar, all from Rockport, Texas, Rachel Lee (Meng) from Vancouver, Washington and Anna Beth Leal (Josiah) from Rockport, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
