Ernest "Neto" Trevino Obituary

Ernest “Neto” Trevino, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Katy, Texas on May 15, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.

Neto was born January 11, 1944 in Sinton, Texas to Francisca (Aleman) and Miguel Trevino.  He lived a life rooted in faith, family, hard work and laughter. To know Ernest was to know someone who could light up a room with a joke, a smile or a story. His sense of humor and loving spirit brought joy to everyone around him, and the memories he created with family and friends will be treasured forever.

Above all else, Ernest was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, proud father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, caring brother and uncle, and a beloved “Grand-Paw” to both his grandchildren and grand-dogs. His greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people he loved most.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Francisca Trevino; a son, Ronnie Trevino;  grandsons, Ronnie Trevino Jr. and Mikey Trevino; granddaughter, Stephanie Trevino; and  siblings, Jesus Trevino, Ernestina Rivas, Juan Trevino, Ida Castillo, Frank Trevino, Jimmy Trevino, Alejandro Trevino, Mike Trevino and Guadalupe Trevino.

Ernest leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Belia Trevino, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. He is also survived by his children, Sandra Trevino, Roland Trevino, Tina Sydavong and Francis Chanleut; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Rudy Trevino, Tomasita Jimenez, Mary Jane Norris, Henry Trevino, Janie Woodall, Dominga Trevino, Irene Trevino, Patrick Trevino and Corina Gutierrez. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Ernest’s legacy is one of unconditional love, strength, laughter and devotion to family. Though he will be deeply missed, the stories he shared, the laughter he gave, and the love he poured into those around him will continue to live on for generations to come.
