Ernestina A. Rodriguez

Sinton – Ernestina A. Rodriguez passed away March 5, 2023. She was 86. 
Ernestina was born in Mathis, Texas on November 11, 1936 to Pedro and Leonor (Reyna) Aguilar. She was a current resident of Sinton, Texas but lived in Taft, Texas for most of her life. Ernestina was a homemaker. She was employed as a housekeeper and pressed clothes for other families for many years. Ernestina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Pedro and Leonor Aguilar; siblings: Manuel Aguilar, Petra Tamez, Beatrice Tamez, Emma Reyes and Baltazar Aguilar
Ernestina is survived by her husband of 62 years: Frank Rodriguez from Sinton, Texas; her son: Rudy Rodriguez from Sinton, Texas; daughters: Margie Mercier (Donald) from Sinton, Texas and Betty Mendez (Leo) from Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren: Carolyn Mercier from Conroe, Texas and Andrew Mercier from Port Hueneme, California; brothers: Gaspar Aguilar from Mathis, Texas, Jose Aguilar (Sylvia) from Corpus Christi, Texas, John Aguilar (Margie) from Buda, Texas and Pete Aguilar (Connie) from Nashville, TN;  sister: Fela Torres from Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will begin Thursday, March 9, 2023, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 10, 2023, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
