Ernesto B. Hinojosa

Sinton – Ernesto B. Hinojosa, Jr. passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024 with his family at his side. He was 63.

Ernesto was born May 5, 1960 in Sinton, Texas to Isabel (Balderaz) and Ernesto Sanchez Hinojosa, Sr. He was a resident of Sinton, Texas for 40 plus years, formerly residing in Odem. Ernesto worked as an Electrician for many years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ernesto and Isabel Hinojosa; brother: Raul “Ray” Hinojosa; nephew: Raul Hinojosa, Jr; niece: Belinda Hinojosa; brother-in-law: LeRoy Rodriguez.

Survivors include his sons: Ernest Hinojosa, III (Crystal) from Sinton, Texas and Eric Hinojosa (Kim) from Pleasanton, Texas; daughter: Jessica Saldana (Abel) from Sinton, Texas; 8 grandchildren: Ellianna Saldana, Belicia Saldana, Neto Hinojosa, Chevelle Hinojosa, Hailey “San Juana” Hinojosa, Gavin Hinojosa, Kara Hinojosa, Gunnar Hinojosa; 1 great-grandchild on the way; brothers: Luis Hinojosa (Dolores) from Odem, Texas and Juan Hinojosa (Teresita) from Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Celia Gomez from Corpus Christi, Texas; Elida Lopez (Ruben), Sylvia Rodriguez, Antonia Nunez (Mike) all from Odem, Texas; Norma Moreno (Domingo) from Corpus Christi, Texas. 

Visitation will begin Monday, March 18, 2024, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Odem. Interment will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
