Odem – Esteban “Jay” Rivera passed away August 15, 2024. He was 40.

Esteban was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 24, 1984 to Francisca (Loy) and Esteban Rivera, Sr. He lived in Robstown most of his life, eventually settling in Odem. Esteban worked for TxDot as a Traffic Control Specialist. He loved spending time with his family and friends, gaming, working for TxDot and playing with his 4 fur babies.  Esteban will always be remembered as a loving and giving man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his unborn baby: maternal grandparents: Alfredo and Refugio Loy; paternal grandparents: Juan and Jesusa Rivera; father-in-law: Trinidad Perez, Jr.

Survivors include his wife: Maranda P. Rivera from Odem, Texas; son: Xavier Pruneda from Odem, Texas; daughters: Melody Rivera and Jazlyne Pruneda both from Odem, Texas; parents: Esteban and Francisca Rivera from Robstown, Texas; brothers: Alfred Loy (Eva Alvarez) and Jose Rivera both from Robstown, Texas; Texas; sisters: Roxanna Rivera (Miguel) from San Antonion, Texas, Cassandra Rivera from Robstown, Texas and Ashley Sanchez (Fredy Bu Sanchez) from Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers-in-law: Alex Perez and Jesse Perez from Odem, Texas.

Visitation will begin Thursday, August 29, 2024, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 30, 10:00 AM, at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
